A Bit About Me

I've always been interested in media in all forms. My journey into media production began in 2004 when I started to experiment with blogging and web design. I was starting to write songs and stories, and I wanted a place to share my work with friends and family, so I began teaching myself the basics of HTML and CSS. Soon enough, I had a rudimentary website with a few pieces of my creative work. But I wanted more.

In 2010, I made the decision to go back to college in order to pursue a degree. After obtaining a Certificate in Writing and an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts from the University of Cincinnati's Clermont Campus, I was accepted into the Electronic Media program at UC's College-Conservatory of Music. Studying writing had also awakened a latent interest in the power of literature, so I made the decision to pursue an additional degree in English. Both programs were a powerful learning experience that helped refine existing skills, such as web design, and taught me many new skills, such as video and audio production. I successfully completed both degrees in May of 2015, and was awarded High Honors for my English degree.

Since graduating, I have continued to work in web design and video production on a freelance basis, as well as doing freelance stage crew work for a local theater. In addition to my work, I enjoy singing, playing the piano and guitar, reading, writing stories, essays, and poems, studying genealogy, building and fixing computers and other technology, woodworking, and bike riding.
